VOLUNTEERING AT BELLEVUE HIGH SCHOOL

Would you like to help Bellevue High School become an even better place for students to learn?  Become a volunteer!

The volunteer program at BHS started October 2010 with the agreed fact that the more parents and community members were involved with education, the better the students would perform.  During the first month of the program, over 80 volunteer hours were logged.

Many of the tasks the volunteers help perform are very time consuming.  Because of the volunteer program, teachers are able to devote even more time for instruction and working individually with students.    This has a direct impact on student and school performance.

BHS volunteers help in many areas such as:

Copy Room

Cafeteria

Library

Computer Lab

Classrooms

Field Trips

Bulletin Boards

Dances

Tyson Labels

Box Tops

Campbell's Labels

Fundraising

Becoming a volunteer is a great way to have a better understanding of what takes place in a day of learning at BHS.

Who can join the volunteer team at BHS?  We welcome all parents, guardians, relatives, neighbors, community members, etc.  If you have a passion for children and their future, you have what it takes to volunteer.  Volunteer Information Forms can be found on line or contact Mr. Eckstein directly.

For the safety of our students, all volunteers must complete a criminal background check which can also be obtained at the monthly volunteer meetings or contact Mr. Eckstein  to make individual arrangements.  You must present a valid driver's license or other approved form of picture identification.

If you can volunteer once a year, once a month, once a week or every day, BHS would love to have you join our team.  Everyone has something to offer!   All volunteers receive a Volunteer Handbook and any necessary training.

Please contact Dave Eckstein if you have any questions or would like to learn more about BHS's Volunteer Program.

Next time you see a BHS Volunteer, please take a moment to let them know how much you appreciate them.
